Peter Israel
Peter Israel was raised hearing the music of Earl Robinson, Paul Robson, Pete Seeger, and the like.He and his mother went to McCabe’s opening night, and he attended the first (or was it the second?) Banjo and Fiddle Contest in Topanga. Peter was a dancer and singer in the Aman Folk Ensemble and played brač in a tamburiča orchestra with the Avaz Folk Ensemble. He enjoys folk music from around the world. For 18 years Peter served on the board of directors of the Neighborhood Legal Services – a non-profit legal aide organization. After many decades of appellate practice, he is grateful to be a 100% retired lawyer.
