The term “Country Noir” was invented to describe Maurice Tani’s songs, and it fits. Tani is a veteran songwriter whose sometimes dark lyrics are leavened with humor and poetic observations of human nature, and he delivers them in elegant, passionate style. Opening will be Will Hawkins, a musical storyteller who is known for his work with Americana rockers Nine Mile Station. Hawkins is every bit as compelling with just his guitar, expressive voice,  and chronicles of down but not out characters. Together they’ll spin tales of street-level American dreamers in a compelling and compassionate manner.
