I met Lissa Schneckenburger here in Maine when she was about 7 years old. We played a dance for home-schooled kids. She played fiddle, I guitar and called. When she got into her teens, her parents trusted me to drive her to gigs out of state…New Hampshire, Massachusetts, etc. I never really understood the trust they had in me, but we had fun! Lissa went on to (and is still having) an amazing career and is now living in Brattleboro, Vermont. I see her every year at Maine Fiddle Camp and value our friendship.
