Greg Anderson, Hammered Dulcimer player
my bandmate for the past 33 years
Hi all, For the past 30+ years I’ve had the honor and privilege to play in a band (Scrod Pudding) with hammered dulcimer player Greg Anderson. We toured for a decade or so on the contradance circuit in the eastern US, and played a lot locally, less so now but occasionally. Greg is a dulcimer maker as well with a half dozen instruments to his credit. You can see his instrument on the album cover below, the picture “redo” shows Greg with his present instrument built by James Jones.
Pretty much all of our touring took place before “smartphones” or even digital cameras, so I could find no video. The still photos were found digging in an old shoe box! The audio track above is ripped off our CD (“Food for your Feet” was originally issued on cassette and we had to reorder 1000 once) (yeah still have a few hundred left!) The recording is thirty + years old – we’re better now, but the album has withstood the test of time.
