The NFO annual conference is held in different locations every year. In 2023, we are in New England and taking advantage of the plentiful options for folk dance and music in the area. The event will be held in the storied town of Concord, Massachusetts. The conference begins Wednesday March 29 with a reception at the Concord Scout House followed by international folk dancing to live music with Zdravets. On Thursday March 30, we start with the annual general meeting, followed by Tony Parkes teaching squares and contra dances at the Concord Trinitarian Congregational Church. This is followed by a contra dance with Eloise & Co. playing. Friday March 31 is filled with presenters like Jose Mateo, Eden MacAdam-Somer, Tom Pixton, and Jacqueline Schwab. More international dancing to live music that night. Saturday April 1 includes more dance workshops, in Bal Folk and Balkan dancing, followed by a blow-out Balkan dance party with the All Girl Band, Balkan Fields and Balkan Brass led by Michael Ginsburg.
