Janie’s Jumpstart is an In Home Small Old Time Music Camp that features small classes (8 students max per class), delicious food, great teachers, staff house concert and tons of jamming with the teachers all in a comfortable house setting!  This weekend will be at the home of our Fiddle and Banjo instructors Steve Arkin and Cathy Mason.  Be ready for a lot of music and fun!

Our motto is “we are not here to teach you all the tunes, but how to play them better”!

Teachers: Cathy Mason(Novice-Intermediate Old Time Fiddle), Janie Rothfield (Int/Advanced Old Time Fiddle) Steve Arkin (Int/Advanced Clawhammer Banjo) and Allan Carr (Int Old Time Guitar)

WHERE: Melrose (Near Boston) MASS at the home of Cathy Mason and Steve Arkin

WHEN: Camp opens 5pm Friday March 11-Camp ends 3pm Sunday March 13th

Registration includes classes, jams, staff concert, coffee/tea/snacks and yummy meals

ACCOMMODATIONS ARE NOT INCLUDED

PROOF OF FULL VACCINATION (including booster) and NEGATIVE RAPID COVID TEST REQUIRED

FULL DAY registration includes 6 meals/snacks, 9+ hours of instrumental classes with your teacher, 1 hour group “how to play in a Stringband Class” open for all students, Instructor house concert and hours of jamming with the instructors all weekend long.

REGISTRATION: $350 through 3/6 then $375 from 3/7-11, 2022
