The Quitters
A guitar duo of right-side up finger picking (Stevie Coyle) and upside down flat picking (Glenn “Houston” Pomianek). The Quitters deliver a performance spiced with humor and serendipity.
The Quitters feature Stevie Coyle and Glenn “Houston” Pomianek, two phenomenal musicians with a wealth of experience and accolades. Both were founding members of the acclaimed quintet The Waybacks, and Glenn served as the long-time lead guitarist for Americana powerhouse Houston Jones.
Glenn Houston is a master of the acoustic and electric guitar, drawing inspiration from legends like Michael Bloomfield and Doc Watson. His talent has been recognized by the Northern California Bluegrass Society, awarding him “Best Guitarist.” He’s shared the stage with an impressive roster of artists, including Emmylou Harris, Merle Haggard, Earl Scruggs, Doc and Merle Watson, Willie Nelson, and many more.
Stevie Coyle found his passion for fingerpicking guitar after hearing the first Hot Tuna album. With a diverse background that includes degrees in Theatre and Theology, Stevie has also entertained audiences with his comedic talents. He’s performed with The Royal Lichtenstein Circus, acted in various media, done stand-up comedy, and toured extensively. Currently, Stevie owns and operates Mighty Fine Guitars, a high-end acoustic guitar shop in Lafayette, CA.
